Lighting Controls

Lighting controls help reduce energy usage by only lighting spaces when spaces are occupied. Embedded lighting controls can reduce energy use by up to 63%* while streamlining design and minimizing ceiling clutter. The MLX luminaire offers two embedded lighting control options:

FAQ

  • How do I order the row aligner bracket?

    Order your luminaire type with CRE (continous row end) and CRM (Continous row middle) option on the spec sheet.

  • How many fixtures can I run in a row?

    The number of fixtures in a row should be determined by the installing electrician and based on the circuit to which they are being wired. The PLR will not reduce that number.

  • How do I order an MLX with uplight?

    All MLX luminaires come standard with uplight when ordering MD distribution. Wedge 8.6%, Round 10.6%, Square 16.7%.

  • Do I need to open the MLX fixture to install it?

    No, to install a single fixture you do not need to open the fixture for installation. You can use the access plate to connect power to the fixture.

  • I need DLC premium and sensors for my project, how do I order this?

    MLX offers standard and high efficiency options. Please refer to Page 8 on our spec sheet for detailed power and efficiency data.

  • Does MLX have surge protection device?

    Yes, MLX has an option for a 6 kV surge protection device.

  • Does MLX have field-installable batteries?

    MLX offers field-installed battery packs. Please refer to the spec sheet for ordering nomeclature.

  • Is a stepdown transformer used for 347V?

    When choosing ZT or ZC dimming option, a stepdown is not used. However, for EZT and EZC option, a stepdown transformer is used.

  • Can I order the end cap without the Lithonia Logo?

    Yes, we have a NLG option on the spec sheet to remove Lithonia logo.

  • Is MLX IP5X rated?

    Yes, all MLX confirgurations come with the LED assembly IP5X.

  • How can I mount MLX?

    Suspended with AC cables, truss mounted with THMLX, and T-Grid with TGRDBKT.

  • Does MLX have different finish options?

    Yes, you can choose from white, matte black and natural aluminum.

  • What is the temperature rating for MLX linear low bay?

    Standard: 0ºC- 30ºC, HA Option: up to 50ºC.
